MattressOnline is looking forward to another record-breaking year after taking a haul of top business awards in 2022.
Winning national, regional and trade awards throughout the year, Mattress Online has continued to boost its profile and increase its market share.
The Rotherham-based business saw turnover leap during the pandemic fuelled by stay-at-home spending on DIY and homeware. Growth was underpinned by the in-house Development team who continually innovate and find smarter ways to use technology to make the customer experience slicker and an overhaul of operations processes prompted by the massive spike in demand, a challenge that was embraced by the agile team.
Finances remain strong and growth during the pandemic was followed up last year with a string of national business awards.
Most prominently, the company landed an E-Commerce Business Award at the 2022 Scale-Up Awards which took place at Tobacco Dock in London and was hosted by comedian Russell Kane.
Later in the year, placing at 68, Mattress Online’s Chief Executive Steve Adams was recognised as one of the greatest entrepreneurs in Britain, celebrating the company growth, in the inaugural FEBE Growth 100.
Mattress Online was also listed in the Northern Tech Awards 2022 Top 100 Companies at number 19 with a 58% growth rate.
With its long-standing relationship with the National Bed Federation, the recognised trade association representing UK manufacturers and suppliers of beds and mattresses, Mattress Online also won Online Bed Retailer of the Year for the fourth year in a row.
In September 2022, Mattress Online was named Best Online Retailer by Interiors Monthly and in November 2022, it was crowned Medium Sized Business of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Business Excellence Awards.
The company’s mattress collection and recycling service, which forms part of its ever-growing commitment to help protect the environment, earned Mattress Online the Sustainability Award at the Modern Retail Good Retail Awards in February too.
The company is also looking forward to the Young Professional Awards in 2023, as its Development Team Manager, Kirsty Mullen, has been shortlisted for Young Digital and Tech Professional of the Year.
Steve Adams said:
“To be acknowledged locally and nationally for our work is incredible. The recognition we’ve had this year celebrating our growth, culture and entrepreneurialism is more than we could have wished for when we started the year. We’ve gone from strength to strength and we’re in a really good place as we head into 2023.”
In 2023, Mattress Online aims to continue growing and expand on their clicks and mortar retail expansion plan, continually develop their bespoke award-winning website, continue their commitment to improving sustainability within the business and bolster the health and wellbeing programme for staff.
